A Package Handler supports the movement of incoming and outgoing parcels in a busy warehouse or distribution setting in Brooklyn. Common duties include sorting packages by destination, scanning labels, stacking and loading freight, preparing items for shipment, and keeping work areas organized and clear. The job may also require checking for damaged items, following safety procedures, and working with team members to meet daily processing goals. Realistic baseline qualifications include the ability to read basic labels and instructions, remain attentive in a fast-paced environment, and handle repetitive tasks with accuracy. Prior warehouse, shipping, or general labor experience is often useful but not always necessary. Physical demands commonly include standing for long periods, bending, reaching, and lifting or moving packages of varying sizes and weights. The schedule is full time, with hours that may include early morning, daytime, evening, or weekend shifts depending on operational needs.
